RaKon has had regularly condition assessments and done simple improvements at the “Indeksbygget” in Oslo. The building was designed by architect Jon Engh, who received the award “Betongtavla” for the outstanding concrete building. The building is made of prefabricated concrete elements and decorated with white granite.

The building is located in the center of Oslo, next to the busy Solliplass. Owner Höeger Eiendom is taking safety and maintenance of the property serious and has the last years hired Consolvo and RaKon to carry out condition assessment and minor repairs of the concrete facade. In 2019, we inspected one of four facades using rope access and Norway’s largest crane ensured access to the other three facades. In 2022, rope access as method was applied to all facades. This since rope access was more efficient, required no or little closed streets and is a safer way to work at heights.
